I'm starting to build myself a new computer. They just want to much money at the stores for the power I want. I got a Thermaltake V9 case (very cool), LG BluRay HD DVD DVD Writer with Lightscribe, Seagate 250g 7200.10 Hard drive (I really did not need a 500g or a 1tb) Asus M3A78-T motherboard 790gx chipset, 8g ddr2, AMD PHENOM II X4 3.00Ghz (not as fast as intel but close), Windows Vista Home Basic OS (I compaired to Prem and Ultimate, but basic is all I need), ATI RADEON HD3450 video card set up to run Hybrid Crossfire with the Radeon HD 3300 onboard chipset (768mb DDR2 both together). Thermaletake 600watt PurePower PSU, Logictech wireless keyboard and mouse, Logitech 5.1 surround sound. Now here is the good part After shopping around the internet TigerDirect, NewEgg, Directron.com, and ebay The whole rig cost just a bit over $950.00. I looked all over for a factory build rig with all the stuff I wanted, $1500 or more. Saving $500 bucks makes an old skin flint like me very happy. Large D has got a new toy. I'll be done putting it together in a few days. Work has been a bear and I only can work on it on my days off. OH YEAH I forgot one of the best features a 46 inch Sharp Aquos LCD flat panel TV for my screen (Payed extra for that).btw Directron.com has some really good prices on OEM stuff.
