John Kerry most recently surfaced into public view in 2004 when, after an undistinguished Senate career of 20 years in which he did almost nothing, he was picked to run for president. Best known then for his inability to decide whether he was happy or unhappy at Saddam Hussein's removal from power in Iraq, Kerry gave life to the term "flip-flop" and will be forever remembered for that and throwing his (or someone else's) war medals over the White House fence.
Now a mere 5 years later, we hear from Kerry again and this time he has found something to sink his teeth into, the fantasy of man-caused global warming. And apparently Kerry is a strong believer. But what to do with Barbara Boxer getting all the press coverage?
But reflecting the same type of fantasy insight that led Kerry to imagine war-crimes in Vietnam, Mr. Kerry has decided that global warming is going to threaten national security. Not by destroying the economy as one might think but due the potential ills of the world, every one of which is somehow assicated with global warming according to true believers.

Of all the ridiculous arguments in support of global warming legislation, this one has to be the most idiotic. John Kerry is leading a panel to determine how global warming threatens national security. What did they find? Well, that’s a little tough to pin down. All we get is vague and absurd warnings like “Crop devastation, melting glaciers, water shortages and displaced people will drag the military into conflict…” So – you guessed it – we must act now “to save the world!” If we don’t, these “climate conflicts” will melt the rainbows and make bunnies cry.
