I was thinking about posting it there but decided to post the specific BBC copyright provisions since they have been the ones violated most often. Our "friend" came back with a claim that a lawyer had told him what he was doing is okay. I'm wondering if it was the same lawyer that pled him out to felony intellectual property fraud a couple of years ago.
At this point, I think he knows full well what he is doing. Here was his claim from earlier today.

There is a fair personal use exception but ocala.com is a commercial operation and posting something there is tantamount to publication.

As the owner of numerous copyrights, I have tried to make that point on several occasions. Posting copyrighted material on the SB website is indeed publication, and infringement.
The SB moderator is more concerned about deleting politically-incorrect posts. I did notice that in his “new” rules, he has added a portion about copyright infringement. Perhaps he heard from the SB legal department?
I flagged about 10 of shiva's copyright infringements one day and have posted a number of messages complaining about the copyright violations to the forums and started clearly referring to what was going on as theft. I think it pretty-much forced their hand. The next step, had it been necessary, was to go to the organizations whose work was being stolen. Fortunately, that was not necessary.
Once something is made public it is free to be plagurized. Published and a copywrite MUST show liability for damages. If you were not hurt through lost revenue you have NO case.
