You don't have a complex situation here. You have one individual responsible for about 1/3 of the posts on the entire board. He considers himself an expert on all topics although his actual knowledge base is fairly thin meaning he has to supplement actual facts with made up stories. Even the "personal experiences" he reports here turn out to be fictional. He has assigned himself as a sort of ex-officio moderator, asking folks who agree with him to continue posting, serving as a self-appointed "hall monitor" to police thread topics when he chooses, etc. He has driven numerous people away from the forums. I will provide you with confidental proof of that if you are interested.

And you even have a number of the better posters discussing how much better the forum would be if those 1/3 blank (or fecal-smeared for the more graphic) "pages" would simply be removed from the forum "book". Surely there is a hint there.

And most of the folks who are commenting on the trolls are doing so in attempt to shame the trolls into conforming to the community's rather loose informal standards. And while their actions may be annoying, the fact is that those people are simply trying to doing the job that you could easily do.

So take the great troll slayer axe and use it! Good luck and God speed!

We can certain use more over here. I have no idea what OSB is planning to do but it seems to me they would be better off just doing something, anything, that coming on every now and then and saying they are thinking about doing something.

They probably wont do anything. I am a bit tired of the endless name calling by a few posters. I mean is it too difficult to disagree with someone without using derogatory terms?

I think SlocalaPro has some serious mental issues. It seems to be that he was always a bit "edgy" with his posts but now he has gone completely overboard. He is far more arrogant than he is intelligent so, like any overarrogant bully, he can be taken down. I just don't know if I want to spent the time as it has to be done precisely to point out the kind of person he is and not by simply responding to his clildish name calling with more of the same.

Hi pilot and everyone. Yes I decided come over here, I'm sick of the crap that is going on over there. I live in Ocala so I like the star banner so that I can keep up with what is happening in Ocala. I like the forums and most everyone there, getting tired of scrolling through the crap.

Although I'm new to the OSB forums, I found true debate a bit unrealistic.

I have tried. My ignore list is full.

I have read here on a previous thread that you are looking for more activity and more posters. Is this an invite only site?
It could become a bit boring with only people who agree with each other yet inviting Shiva or Alla or Slo or Lhort if he could keep up - would be replicating OSB in its simplest terms.

So I'm proposing an interuptus slam'em kind of a show....
There are a few posters who lambast others constantly without real debate or following protocol in any manner. They also refuse to post anything of importance other than childish name calling and word buzzes they heard once on the nightly news.

How about we each determine who and what topic to smatter and others support with real researched facts. We could take them out one at a time and in a secret benevolent society thing, come back here to chuckle, snort, snort.

It would have to be a bit orchestrated and given enough time to actually fester.

What do you think?

Anyone can invite themselves. There is no review. All you have to have is a working email address.

I would like to have folks with a variety of views. I had invited Alla some time ago but he hasn't joined. Anyone is welcome to invite anyone else that they choose. Shiva is certainly aware of this site and has even posted complaints about it on the OSB site. I would not ban him from joining but if he posted here like he does on OSB it would probably cause some problems. When Slo started over at the OSB (about when I did), he was one of the better posters but it seems he has gotten carried away with being a bully. I don't have a problem with people saying what they want but it has to be voluntary on both sides. The last few days, Slo was attacking me (on silly things) and I didn't want to respond in kind. In my view, that is where a line should be drawn.

I would like to see folks like Llort and USADEM join here.
