It looks like global warming activists are starting to realize that they are not going to be successful in conning people into paying skyrocketing energy prices and sacrificing their lifestyles in order to attempt to reduce man made "global warming" which fewer and fewer people believe exists. And this is bad news for Al Gore and his followers who have counted on higher taxes and energy prices to cash in on carbon offsets and liberal politicans who are counting on higher taxes to subsidize earmarks and massive pork barrel spending.

So, what to do? Liberal polling firm ecoAmerica believes it has the answer. Instead of "global warming" -- clearly a problem with actual temperatures declining, refer to “our deteriorating atmosphere.” (Of course, CO2 has been and remains a required component of the atmosphere although pols like Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid likely don't know that. And instead of "cap and trade" which people understand is a sharp tax on energy of all types, call it “cap and cash back” or “pollution reduction refund.” After all, an administration that can call a cabinet meeting to announce a $100,000,000 cut in a $3,600,000,000,000 budget ($.02 for each $1,000) would have no problem rebating an equivalent amount on the planned $3,100 in carbon taxes per household -- 6 cents!

No word on what global warming Führer Al Gore thinks of this.
