In our society, some folks with lowered mental capacities choose to follow what they believe celebrtities do in areas of diet and health practicies.

According to this article from the United Kingdon, celebrties often make poor decisions and are not good role models for diet or health.

The article lists a large number of celebrities who espouse unproven and absurd ideas.
