sThe U.S. government has evidence that wealth inviduals are using Swiss bank accounts to evade taxes. A settlement was reached with UBS bank to release some names. Now, some of those individuals are attempting to have Swiss courts void that agreement. The time has come to end tax evasion by wealthy Americans. If wealthy politicans and individuals are guilty, they should be prosecuted. It is ridiculous that only the middle class has to pay taxes.

If I had money I would send it overseas too, why earn big if you cannot keep it.?! If they earned the money somewhere else they shouldn't have to pay taxes and if they earned it here they probably already paid taxes on it. The dems are just trying to get tax on the intrest and dividends.

LOL -- I don't think Georgie has the kind of money they are talking about here. Remember that the bank agreed to pay almost $800 million in penalties to settle the case.

I think the dividend (double) tax is unfair and taxing interest merely discourages savings which are already way too low in our society. Despite that, the rules should apply to everyone. If the most powerful people don't have to follow the rules, they won't bother to lobby for changes that will benefit others.
